Virtual Tours for JCPC Schools
We are excited to be extending educational virtual tours from September 2021 to all schools located in UK Crown dependencies, UK territories overseas and Commonwealth countries whose final court of appeal is the JCPC.
The virtual tour is given by an experienced guide and covers the history and role of the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council and the UK Supreme Court, how Justices are appointed and the history of the building in which cases are heard. There will also be a discussion of a JCPC case. A visual slide show will be shared and there will be opportunities to ask questions.
Tours are aimed at groups of students (a minimum of 10) aged between 15 and 18 years old.
The contents are suitable for those studying law, politics and history, or any school group interested in the final court of appeal for their country.
Tours last 45 minutes and slots are available to book between 10am and 4pm UK time, between Monday to Thursday. Schools or students must have access to Microsoft Teams, which is part of the 'Office 365' package or is a free download.
To book a tour or for more information teachers should contact: enquiries@supremecourt.uk
in addition our 360° virtual tour is available to view.
